PRIVACY POLICY

1. Purpose of Policy

Hockey iQ Academy LLC (“Academy”) values and respects the privacy of all users of our website (http://www.hockeyiqacademy.com/, referred to as the “Website”) and are especially concerned with protecting the online privacy of children. The purpose of this policy is to describe the Academy’s commitment to respect and protect the privacy of all visitors to the Website and, in particular, to protect personal student information, and to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).

2. Operator Information

The Academy is an online service that offers and provides interactive online educational opportunities to teach mental hockey concepts to help students utilize fully their physical skills and develop their maximum potential for playing hockey (“Service”). 3. Types of Information Collected

The Academy collects and maintains information provided by its students on the Website. Some of the information collected may be personally identifiable information. The kinds of information collected by the Academy from children may include a child’s full name, online pseudonym or username, date of birth, gender, billing address, and photographs, background information provided by parent/guardians, videos, or audio files which may contain the child’s image or voice.  Personal information may be collected directly from the child or from the parent.

There is also information about a student’s computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by the Academy. This information can include: an IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring web site addresses. This information is used by Academy for the operation of the Service and to maintain quality

Once a student has enrolled with the Academy, we create an account for the student (the “Account”). Students have access to their Account and can edit their Account information, which may include the personal information listed above.  Academy does not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the Service offered by the Academy.

If you provide credit card information through the Service, the information you provide is never stored on our server. Instead, when you click on the “Checkout” button, it is forwarded immediately to a third-party service provider for processing. We use industry standard Secure Sockets Layering (SSL) software to encrypt all of your credit card information as it travels over the Internet and via wireless methods to our third-party service provider. We do not retain a copy of your credit card information. Our third-party services providers use your credit card information only to process your transaction (and for fraud prevention purposes) and are bound by contract to keep your credit card information confidential.

4. Storage of Information

The Academy strives to provide a safe, secure environment by attempting to limit access to the Academy database to legitimate users, but the Academy cannot guarantee that unauthorized parties will not gain access.  All information regarding users of the Website is stored in the Website database and whoever has admin access to the Website will have access to this information.

5. Use of Information and Sharing Information

The Academy uses the information collected solely for purposes of offering and providing interactive online educational opportunities. The Academy will disclose personal information to third parties for the purpose of assisting the Academy to provide its Service. The Academy will also disclose the student’s information, if required to do so by law. The Academy will not otherwise sell, rent, or share the student’s information to anyone, or let anyone use it except if the student and the parent have authorized its use.

The parent of the child has the option to agree to the collection and use of the child’s information without consenting to the disclosure of the information to third parties and with the knowledge that exercising such option may affect the child’s ability to participate in the third party educational services.

6. Tracking Technologies

We use “cookies”, Google Analytics, and other web technologies to collect information and support certain features of the Service on our website. For example, we may use these technologies to: (i) collect information about the ways people use the Service – which pages they visit, which links they use, and how long they stay on each page; (ii) support the features and functionality of the Service – for example, to save you the trouble of reentering information already in our database or to prompt the settings you established on previous visits; and (iii) personalize your experience when you use the

Please be aware that the Academy is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. The Academy encourages students and parents to learn about the privacy practices and policies of those companies.

8. Parental Discretion

The Academy will not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in Academy’s services.  At any time, parents have the right to determine how their child’s personal information will be used in the following ways:

  • The parent(s)/legal guardian(s) can review their child’s personal information;
  • The parent(s)/legal guardian(s) can direct the Academy to delete the personal

If parent(s)/legal guardian(s) refuse to allow any further collection or use of the child’s information or the disclosure of personal information to third parties, it is with the understanding that the child may be limited in his or her participation in the Academy’s educational services. To request any of the actions described above, the parent must submit a written request by email to the Academy at Admin@HockeyiQAcademy.com.

9. Data Retention

We will retain your information for as long as your Account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. In compliance with our standard data retention policies, we may delete data of inactive Accounts without prior notification.

10. Changes to Policy

The Academy may periodically update this policy. Changes to this policy will be posted of the child’s information; and/or child’s information, but choose not to allow disclosure to third parties.

11. Security

The Academy has security measures in place that are intended to help protect against the loss, misuse, unauthorized access or alteration of information under our control. These measures include encryption of data using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) system.
